At No Bull Accessories we have designed and developed our Lithium Battery range in Australia to suit the harsh conditions the Australian outdoors throws at us when camping and living off grid in a Caravan, Motorhome, Camper Trailer, RV or 4wd. To get this right the batteries needed to be able to handle the roughest corrugrated roads of the outback along with the huge temperture variations that our Australian climate delivers. This can vary from -2C overnight up to 47C during the day.
To achieve the best battery for the Australian off road market we have fitted each battery in our range with Prismatic Cell Technology, these cells are recognised across the industry as the ultimate and best equiped to handle the constant bumps, bottom outs, vibrations and grid crossings that travelling our great outdoors put us through. Battery BMS (Battery Management System) :
The advanced state of the art Battery Management System (BMS) has been designed and developed with years of research and testing and is inbuilt ensuring peace of mind when it comes to battery protection and safety. This BMS controls cell balancing, over and under voltage protection, short circuit protection, thermal protection and cut off limits. Our BMS is perfectly matched to the Cells used in the manufacture of our batteries. This means that the battery is not under stress to deliver the required current. In simple terms this perfect matching of the BMS to the battery cells means that with the 150Ah battery you can draw 150amps per hour from the battery without stressing the cells or reducing the life span of the battery. We recommend a draw of 50amps per hour to extend the cycle life of the battery. The life cycle of the battery at 100% Depth Of Discharge (DOD) is 2000 cycles where this doubles to 4000 cycles when the recommended 50% DOD is used.As a comparison a 12volt portable 60l fridge will draw about 2.5amps per hour. Four led camp lights will draw about 2amps per hour. The 150Ah Battery will run a 2000 watt inverter.

Each Battery in our range has been tested to identify it's true total amp hours capacity and the individual results are listed below.
Our 100Ah is a true 105Ah it weighs 11.5kg

Dealing With The Facts, Figures And Myths Of Lithium Batteries:
At No Bull Accessories we understand that the average person, Caravan, Motorhome, Camper Trailer, RV or Four Wheel Drive owner is often overwhelmed by all the stats that appear on websites selling Lithium Batteries. Some are correct facts and others are the result of the sellers imagination and the belief that protentional buyers can be fooled by their outragious claims about available power and correct size, battery cycle life, Some state they can be charged using existing lead acid chargers (Lithium Batteries need to be charged with a Lithium Compatible Charger) and the jury is in on this fact. We won't confuse you with indusrty jargon, nor will we portray our batteries as something they are not. We give those who want the technical stuff and understand it the ability to download the specifications of all of our batteries here and for those who want it in simple to understand terms we do that also.
Fact: We won't inflate the prices of our batteries to show suppposed huge savings, our prices are the best we can offer and are amoung the most comperitive in the business. A great price for a great high quality battery, backed by our Three Year Australia Wide Replacement Warranty.
Fact: A 105Ah AGM battery will weigh approximately 28KG vs. 8KG for a 60Ah Lithium Battery, which both have very similar useable capacities. Similarly, a 165Ah AGM will weigh 54 KG, where a 150Ah Lithium (with more useable power) weighs 16KG. If you replaced a 165Ah AGM with a 100Ah Lithium, you would save 16KG of weight, and get double the useable capacity. If you replaced a 165AH AGM with a 150AH Lithium, you’d save 38KG of weight, and still gain almost 30% in usable capacity.
Fact: Aside from the weight savings, Lithium batteries also have significantly quicker re-charge vs. AGM batteries. The low resistance in the Lithium cells allow the battery to accept the full output from the charger. With our 40 Amp charger, a 150Ah Lithium battery can be fully charged from flat to full in just over 3 hours vs. 10+ for a 100Ah AGM battery. This is a huge advantage with solar in that every amp that your solar panels produce are going directly into the battery.
Fact: Lithium batteries need to be charged by a charger that has a Lithium charging profile. So, if you have an older system, you’ll need to check with the manufacturer whether they have a Lithium profile, or otherwise you’ll need to change your in-vehicle charger to be able to use it. This is critical because you don’t want to ruin the battery by not charging it properly or get a reduction in performance from such an expensive battery. Our 20Amp and 40Amp DC-DC Chargers are both Lithium Compatible and both have MPPT Solar Control built in.
The simple difference between a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) and a MPPT (Maxium Power Point Tracking) Controller is with PWM power is only drawn at the level just above the battery voltage with MPPT the current is drawn from the solar panel at the panels maximum power voltage and converted to amps for charging the battery/batteries. MPPT controllers offer a potential increase in charging efficiency up to 30%.
Fact: Two 150Ah batteries can be connected in series to create 24volts. Up to four 150Ah can be connected in parallel.
Inverters And Minimum Requirement Battery Sizes:
To size a battery bank we take the hours needed continuously x watts = total watts/DC volts=amps needed.
Pure Sine Wave:
Before you buy a lithium battery, you need to consider your maximum current draw, based on all the things you could actually run off the system.
As stated previously 150AH 1C battery can run a 2000W invertor (divide wattage by 10 to get the amps required to run the invertor) using 1500W of power. But if using the 2000W load on the invertor, you are putting the maximum load on your battery, so if you are running anything else concurrently, then you’ll need bigger batteries. If you don’t forecast your current draw properly, your battery may appear to handle the higher draw, but in reality you will cook the cells of the battery as it struggles to safely deliver the power required, and this may mean you kill your battery much sooner than you should. Lithium batteries stack up on in all areas, as long as you match the capacity of the battery to your needs.
